Lauren Bedel

Lauren Bedel (pronounced “beadle”) joined NEHI in May 2021 as their Senior Health Policy and Program Associate. She has jumped into a plethora of NEHI’s projects that enable her to identify existing health policies and programs and engage with NEHI members to identify feasible pathways for innovative solutions to achieve health equity and improve health outcomes.

Previously, Lauren was a Research Associate at The Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Southern California, on a team that utilized qualitative and quantitative methods to investigate health outcomes among underrepresented populations across the U.S.

Having never spent more than four hours on the east coast, Lauren looks forward to relocating to Boston, meeting her colleagues in-person, and experiencing “seasons.”

Lauren received her Master’s in Public Health from UCLA and her BA in Health, Society & Populations and Sociology from the University of Kentucky.
