Margo Michaels brings over 25 years’ experience developing community-based education initiatives around clinical research, with a particular focus on improving clinical trials recruitment among minority and medically underserved groups. Michaels was the founding Executive Director of the Education Network to Advance Cancer Clinical Trials (ENACCT), and has worked extensively with patient advocacy organizations, cancer centers, and academic medical centers. Michaels has served on PCORI’s Inaugural Advisory Panel on Clinical Trials, and was appointed Chair of its Subcommittee on Recruitment, Accrual, and Retention. Michaels holds an MPH in health behavior/health education from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Public Health.
