Equity in Health and Health Care: A Roadmap to Collaborative Action

A Virtual Summit organized by Eli Lilly & Company, Avalere Health, and NEHI - Network for Excellence in Health Innovation
Recordings and materials available from Sept. 15 summit.

Corporate and community leaders from around the country help to define a roadmap to collaborations that advance equitable health care and health outcomes for Americans who suffer from longstanding disparities. Our discussion centers on three areas critical to closing wide racial, socioeconomic and geographic disparities in health care:

  • Digital health and connectivity: Telehealth and digital health tools are innovations that may deliver improved and more efficient care to traditionally underserved or isolated Americans.
  • Data-driven health care: Many stakeholders agree that more aggressive efforts are needed to collect, analyze and share data of social determinants of health and on metrics of progress on racial and other health disparities.
  • Access: Existing innovations such as telehealth and other digital health solutions will have little impact on underserved Americans if they continue to face barriers to health insurance coverage and to care that covers these innovations; indeed, inequitable access will only exacerbate current health disparities.

Meaningful action on health equity requires coordinated, fully-aligned action across all three of these critical areas. Join us as we identify new strategies to advance health equity through collaborative action.
