Our latest NEHI Live webinar (June 27) focused on “next generation therapies” and previewed major policy changes that may be on the horizon affecting coverage and payment for novel pharmaceuticals. Titled “Next Generation Therapies: What’s Next?”, featured two national experts, Dr. Michael Sherman, the Chief Medical Officer of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Constance Wilkinson, attorney and partner at the firm of Epstein Becker & Green. These “next generation” therapies are entering the market in increasing numbers, offering patients new hope but challenging traditional pricing, coverage, and reimbursement policies, including reimbursement of providers. 
 
NEHI is continuing to stage policymaker briefings on these challenges in Boston and Washington, drawing on a series of papers that include its recent publication, “Next Generation Therapies in Massachusetts: New Solutions for Coverage and Payment.”
